- Took a quick ride in a Tesla Roadster last week. Friend got an hour test drive away from the dealer. I thought I had some idea what the 3.7 second 0-60 acceleration in an electric car would be like, but this was truly shockingly in the neck snapping amusement park domain. Felt a little nauseous. It was awesome!
This year's event was a scorcher: 102°F on Friday and 100°F the day of the show. As expected, this year's turnout was smaller than last year's 25th Anniversary gala, but we still had about 20 cars from all over the West Coast.
Mike Young of Datsun Sports in San Francisco brought up a 1967 Datsun 2000 which he had restored to pristine condition.
Its always a pleasure to see the lastest car Mike has been working on
I'll be adding some additional photos and details to the site about the car, but wanted to give the heads up if you've been looking for the perfect 67 2 liter.

Nissan designer wins award
Nissan's Chief Creative Officer, Shiro Nakamura, has been named one of the 100 Most Creative People in Business by Fast Company magazine. He led the design effort for many of Nissan's vehicles including the Nissan Leaf. I'm excited that Nissan keeps pushing the envelope with cars that are truly spectacular like the GT-R and innovative like the Leaf. You can find a profile of him at Fast Company's website
